Red Wine Sangria

Ingredients: 

  • 1 (750-ml) bottle red wine
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup triple sec or Grand Marnier)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 1 can of chopped pineapple strained
  • 1 orange juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 orange, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 green apple chopped
  • 2 – 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 (750-ml) ginger ale, chilled

Combine first 11 ingredients and allow to chill 2 hours and up to 24 hours.  when ready to serve add the ginger ale to the red wine mixture.  Serve in glasses with crushed ice.  If you need it to sweeten it a little add a little more sugar or powdered sugar.

    Expensive ingredients but if you know you are making this for the entire summer it’s relatively cheap. Love the flavors. I let mine sit from the morning till later afternoon to meld its flavors together.
